It includes neglected poems about conflict, from Homer's Iliad to the 20th century Iraq War via the 16th century Chinese poet Li Bai and the 19th century Black America poet Alice Moore Dunbar-Nelson. However, great poems such as Owen's 'Dulce Et Decorum Est' could not be left out. Each poem is uniquely illustrated by Robert Tilleard.
